Everyday our bodies are exposed to free radicals that can cause damage to our bodies both on the inside and outside. For example, these free radicals cause lesions inside arterial walls which in turn allow plaque to adhere and eventually can lead to hardening of the arteries. Cancer, stroke, and heart disease are among the most common degenerative diseases caused by free radical damage.These free radicals can be in the air we breath and live in as well as in food we eat and the water we drink.

My name is Ed Heitschmidt and I am a USANA Health Sciences Associate. I have been using the USANA Nutritionals as part of my daily regime since I became an Associate in January of 1997. With the intake of the USANA Nutritionals along with exercise and weight management, I have improved my health as well as helped myself to maintain that good health for the long term. My major accomplishment as far as bettering my health, was that within the first twelve months of being on the USANA regime, I was able to stop taking the high blood pressure medication that I had been on for 17 years. This was done with the approval and recommendation of my family physician at that time.

Around the age of 41 I found that I had to start wearing reading glasses - does that sound familiar to you? Now at the age of 56 I have been able to reduce the times that I have had to use my reading glasses. I can now read a newspaper, book or magazine most of the time without reading glasses. I attribute this to the regular use of Proflavanol-90 and Visionex, both USANA products. I feel that using these products has helped to improve my eyesight substantially.
